Canny Cuts Dog Grooming started as a business run from a purpose built salon in Mels home in November 2011, and after 5 months it became clear that larger premises were needed. I decided to move to 118 Longden Coleham and opened the doors for the first time there on the 29th of May 2012. The business carried on growing and in October 2014, I moved the salon to 121 Longden Coleham - a mere 3 doors down the street - to a much larger premises. In April 2016, we moved again to 116 Longden Coleham and added a pet supplies store to run alongside the grooming salon. There are now 8 members of staff.
 
 
On the 13th of February 2015, Canny Cuts Dog Grooming was awarded the Quality Assurance Standard for Groomers. We are now one of only 18 in the country and the only one in Shrewsbury to hold this award. Please see the Events page for more information.

In 2021, Mel took the leap and became a training provider, offering a range of courses on behalf of iPet Network.
